LA CROSSE, WI, December 21, 2007 — Main Street Ingredients, a leading manufacturer of food ingredients, is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Bartz to Quality Control Manager.

Sarah brings over 25 years of experience in the lab setting. She received an Associate Degree in Applied Science through Western Wisconsin Technical College, La Crosse. Her first job in the field was in an environmental lab setting at a chemical lab here in La Crosse. She went on to work in the cheese lab at a dairy cooperative, and then spent several years as an analytical chemistry supervisor.

Sarah joined Main Street nearly 10 years ago as a lab technician and has seen many changes in the Quality Control lab along the way. “Sarah’s leadership and drive will be a great addition to our management team,” said Bill Schmitz.

Community Development Zone Tax Credits Awarded

For Immediate Release: November 14, 2007 Contact: Tony Hozeny, Department of Commerce, 608/267-9661 Governor Doyle Announces $169,000 for Main Street Ingredients, LLC Project to create 51 jobs MADISON – Governor Jim Doyle today announced $169,000 in Community Development Zone tax credits for Main Street Ingredients, LLC, a La Crosse-based manufacturer.

"Manufacturing is at the heart of Wisconsin’s economy," Governor Doyle said. "It's projects like this that upgrade our manufacturers and create good, family-supporting jobs for the community."

“The La Crosse community and the State of Wisconsin have created a favorable climate for us to grow our business. They have assisted us in many ways,” says Dave Clark, CEO of Main Street Ingredients. “Their focus on employment programs like this has an impact and does make a difference. They understand that people are the key to any successful business like Main Street Ingredients.”

Main Street Ingredients, LLC is a La Crosse-based distributor and manufacturer of functional ingredients for the dairy, food and nutrition industries. Construction has been completed on a 22,000 sq. ft. addition to accommodate a state-of-the-art quality control lab, offices, lunchroom and a locker room for employees at its facility in La Crosse. In addition, a high-end process and packaging line has been installed to increase production capacity and to handle the volume of new business. The total project cost is $2.8 million and will create 51 jobs in the area.

Clark added, “The focus of this project is to increase manufacturing capacity, build a top-notch Quality Control facility on site, and to give our employees more space,” added Clark. “Our strategic vision is to support our two greatest assets — our customers and our employees.”

New H.R. Manager, Sue Horne

LA CROSSE, WI, September 26, 2007 – Main Street Ingredients, a leading manufacturer of food ingredients, is pleased to welcome Sue Horne, PHR, as Human Resources Manager.

Horne brings 11-plus years of Human Resource experience to her new role at Main Street Ingredients. Horne graduated from Winona State with a master’s degree in professional development and Viterbo University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational management. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Horne is Co-Chair for the 2007 Wisconsin Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) conference to be held in La Crosse next month and has served as President-elect, President, and is currently Past-President of the La Crosse Area SHRM. She serves on the Human Resources Advisory Committee for Western Technical College and is a Board member and Secretary for WAFER, a food pantry that provides emergency food to people in need.

In her new position, Horne will be responsible for all Human Resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, policies and procedures, and employee training and development.

Main Street Earns GMP Certification

LA CROSSE, WI, June 28, 2007 – Main Street Ingredients is pleased to announce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Registration through NSF International’s Dietary Supplement Certification program. Main Street Ingredients is a supplier of dairy and food ingredients and a private-label manufacturer for the sports nutrition, health and natural foods industries.

GMPs are regulatory requirements that provide guidelines for necessary processes, procedures and documentation to assure the product produced has the identity, strength, composition, quality and purity it is represented to possess. NSF conducted a plant audit to verify compliance with GMPs and will conduct periodic audits at Main Street’s facility to ensure continued conformance. GMPs for the current NSF Dietary Supplements Program are included in NSF American National Standard 173-Dietary Supplements, the only American National Standard for Dietary Supplement.

Main Street’s GMP registration reflects their continued commitment to ensuring quality and satisfaction and assures its customers that the company conforms to established GMPs.

For meeting all requirements included in NSF’s GMP Registration Program, Main Street Ingredients received an NSF GMP registration certificate and is now listed on the NSF Web site.

New Account Managers, Role Change in Sales

LA CROSSE, WI, June 20, 2007 — Main Street Ingredients has added two Account Managers to its sales team. Aaron Jordi and Rita Gostonczik have joined the Food Ingredient Group.

Jordi joins the team with over 12 years experience in sales, with 9 of those years in the food service industry. He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Gostonczik received a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Winona State University and joins Main Street following 9 years as director of an assisted living organization.

“Both Aaron and Rita bring a fresh outlook to our team,” said Ellen Lusk, Sales Manager, Food Ingredient Group. “I especially am enthused by their assertiveness and motivation as we grow our commodities business.”

With these additions, Rob Hollnagel, Jr., will be moving from Food Ingredients to the Functional Sales Group. His primary focus will be on Sports Nutrition accounts and packaging.

Promotion, VP of Sales

LA CROSSE, WI, February 16, 2007 – Main Street Ingredients recently promoted Aaron Macha to Vice President of Sales.

In this position, Aaron will lead an experienced team of sales people. He will be responsible for the growth of Main Street’s brands, including Keystone™ stabilizers, Cornerstone™ proteins, Gemstone™ bakery ingredients, and Capstone™ dairy-based mixes.

In addition, Macha will utilize his sales experience in nutritional beverages, blending, agglomeration, and small packaging lines to build on an established customer base. Macha received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1999.
