AIB & NFPA AUDIT RATINGS - April 1, 2005
La Crosse, WI April 1, 2005 Main Street Ingredients, an innovative manufacturer and supplier of food ingredients announces the outstanding audit results received from the American Institute of Baking (AIB) and the National Food Processor Association (NFPA).
Main Street Ingredients’ quality and product safety programs have been audited and evaluated annually by AIB, an independent inspection firm. In January 2005, Main Street Ingredients also used NFPA to conduct independent audits of their manufacturing facilities.
For the seventh consecutive year, Main Street Ingredients earned a “Superior” rating from AIB with a score of 935 points. To achieve a “Superior” rating, food processing facilities must receive a minimum score of 900 out of 1,000 possible points. AIB auditors review the condition of the plant, as well as the adequacy of food safety management, operational methods, cleaning practices, and maintenance for food safety.
The NFPA-Safe audit concentrates on quality related management responsibility, food safety, GMP’s, HACCP, and overall manufacturing quality systems. Main Street Ingredients’ facilities received exceptional results, fully meeting or exceeding the intent of the audited checklist.

In addition, Main Street Ingredients’ manufacturing facilities are Grade A, USDA, Certified Organic, and Certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union.
