NEW MARKETING AGREEMENT WITH ALTO - June 24, 2005

Waupun, Wisconsin – June 24, 2005 – Alto Dairy Cooperative announces its alliance with Main Street Ingredients, LaCrosse, Wis., as its marketing partner of dried whey and permeate beginning July 1, 2005. This arrangement will not affect Alto’s feed divisions.

Main Street Ingredients, a recognized leader in food ingredients, will rely on Alto Dairy for a steady, quality supply of whey products for dairy ingredient applications in the nutritional and food processing industries.

“We are excited to partner with Main Street Ingredients,” said Rich Scheuerman, President and CEO of Alto Dairy Cooperative. “By marketing our dried whey and permeate through this partnership, Alto will be able capitalize on Main Street’s sales and marketing expertise adding value to our members’ milk.”

Main Street will position Alto’s whey to gain a larger share in the food industry.

“Main Street Ingredients will maximize Alto’s revenue and exposure in the food industry by marketing whey into strategic food manufacturers,” said Bill Schmitz, President of Main Street Ingredients. “Alto has a strong reputation in the dairy industry and we are happy to join forces with them and utilize their whey in our products.”

“This partnership is one of several initiatives we are working on to bring higher margins and add value to our cooperative and member’s milk,” stated Scheuerman. In April, Alto announced its partnership with Winona Foods to brand and market its aged Cheddar nationally.
